Where is Gold Cross located?
Gold Cross is located in 11 locations throughout Minnesota and Wisconsin. Areas we service in Minnesota are Austin, Duluth, Fairmont, Litchfield, Little Falls, Mankato, Owatonna, Rochester and St. Cloud. In Wisconsin we serve Eau Claire, and Superior. Does Gold Cross hire EMTs?
Gold Cross hires EMTs for all sites except Superior and Duluth. Please see the site specific requirements under the job postings page for a detail of shifts EMTs work at the local level.
Do you need to be Nationally Registered and State Certified to work at Gold Cross?
Gold Cross does require EMTs and paramedics to maintain their National Registry prior to and during employment with Gold Cross. It is not Gold Cross' policy to help you get your National Registry or state licensing.
How much do paramedics and EMTs make?
Wages for EMTs and paramedics are site specific.
What benefits does Gold Cross offer?
Gold Cross offers a comprehensive benefit package available to team members schedule a minimum of 20 hours per week effective their first day of employment (in all sites except Duluth/Superior). These benefits include health insurance, dental reimbursement account, short-/long-term disability, generous paid time off plan, matching 401(k) plan, employer-provided continuing education, national/state licensure maintenance, uniforms, and tuition reimbursement.
How often does Gold Cross interview?
Gold Cross holds interviews bi-monthly. Typically interviews are held in Rochester, MN.
How does Gold Cross manage its interviews and hiring process?
Once your application is submitted to the Gold Cross Human Resource Department, your application is kept on file for one year. If your application meets the needs of hiring for any specific Gold Cross location(s), you will be contacted to schedule an interview. Interviews are conducted using behavior and open-ended questions and typically take 30 minutes. During the interview a panel of four Gold Cross team members determine if you will be placed on a hirable list. If you are placed on the hirable list you will remain on that list for six months. If any positions become available in the location(s) you are interested in working in and you meet all requirements for that position, you will be offered a position based on your ranking from the interview. All applicants are encouraged to update their application at any time.
